George Kittle quickly established himself as one of the best tight ends in the NFL early in his San Francisco 49ers career.
Kittle has been with the 49ers since 2017 and has already been named a six-time Pro Bowler and a two-time All-Pro while leading San Francisco to multiple NFC Championships.
After the 2024 season, contract talks between Kittle and the 49ers organization loomed.
While it was evident that Kittle was going to re-sign with the 49ers, given his impact on the team, the details of the contract were once questioned.
After negotiations between the 49ers organization and Kittle's representatives, San Francisco signed the tight end to a four-year, $76.4 million deal.
Kittle's wife, Claire Kittle, responded to the news on social media, sharing a few photos after the exciting announcement.

Last season, the San Francisco 49ers tight end posted eight touchdowns and 1,106 yards on 78 receptions.
Throughout his eight-year career in the NFL, Kittle has recorded 45 touchdowns, 7,380 yards and 538 receptions.
Kittle and the 49ers finished last season with a 6-11 record, missing the postseason mark.
Upon the release of the announcement, the 49ers highlighted some of Kittle's biggest accomplishments.
- 2nd most receiving yards by a tight end in their first eight NFL seasons
- Five career games with 150+ receiving yards; tied for the second-most by a tight end in NFL history
- 21 career games with 100+ receiving yards; fourth most by a tight end in their first eight NFL seasons
- Third tight end in NFL history to have registered 500+ receptions and 7,000+ reception yards in his first eight NFL seasons
