Longhorns projected to land son of former Super Bowl champion

As the Longhorns look to add to their 2026 class, they have been connected to a name some may be familiar with. On3's Joseph Cook logged a prediction for Texas to land wide receiver Kaydon Finley, the son of former NFL tight end Jermichael Finley. The four-star prospect is ranked as the 18th-best wide receiver in his class. 

While Finley would provide the Longhorns offense with a boost, they are not the only program in the mix. He has also received offers from Notre Dame, Arizona State, Louisville, and Texas A&M. Finley will be busy touring the country in June with visits to Texas, Notre Dame, Texas A&M. 

Although several programs are still in the mix, Finley does have a family connection to Texas. His father was a Longhorn from 2006-07 before the Green Bay Packers selected him in the NFL Draft. He then went on to win a Super Bowl with Green Bay in 2010. 

Over the last few weeks, the Longhorns have been busy when it comes to the 2026 class. They are still in the running for Richard Wesley and Grayson McKeogh, who announced they will be in Austin in June for official visits. The Longhorns hope to add them to a group that includes five-star quarterback Dia Bell. 

With just a few weeks until Finley's visit, the Longhorns have plenty of time to prepare. He has the potential to be a future star and would be a great weapon to pair with Bell. The Longhorns main competition is Notre Dame who Finley has had glowing reviews of.

If the Longhorns can make Cooks' prediction come true, then the offense will be hard to stop.
